Members of NZACS  and their staff can gain access to specialist insurance advice with Aon Life. The benefits of this service are:

         areas of Risk that members
         should consider insuring for their
         business, their own personal cover
         as well as providing access to advice
         and benefits for their staff

> Review of existing Insurance arrangements

> Special premium discounts for larger groups (i.e. group staff benefits) which have been negotiated with insurers

> Underwriting concessions for larger groups reducing the application process and in some cases covering
        pre-existing conditions

> A long term relationship with Aon providing members with ongoing review and assisting them in the event of a
        claim under their insurance policies

What to consider to protect your business:

·         Continuity of business ownership (business succession planning and buy/sell insurance);

·         Insuring key people in the business (key person insurance); and

·         Payment of certain business expenses in the short-term (business expenses insurance).

·         Providing staff with benefits to assist  them and their families in the event of death, accident or illness.                    

 

A comprehensive insurance package has a combination of 

·         Life – provides a lump sum on the death of the life insured

·         Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) – provides a lump sum if the insured suffers an injury or illness which totally and permanently incapacitates them, preventing them from ever being able to work again

·         Trauma - provides a lump sum cash benefit on diagnosis of certain defined medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, cancer etc.

·         Income Protection- pays a monthly benefit after a waiting period (where you are unable to work because of illness or injury) for a maximum period of time called the ‘benefit period’. The maximum monthly benefit you can insure for is usually 75% of your current salary

·         Business Expenses – Pays a monthly benefit to the business to pay regular expenses as and when they fall due, should a key person be unable to work due to illness or injury
